Course objectives
Following the course AJL02004 English Grammar I, the objective of this course is to discuss morphology and syntax systematically, but with emphasis on practical use of English word and sentence structure. The course focuses on English verbs and variation in verb phrases, and on the clause structural patterns and their variations. The chapters covered are 5+6+8+10+12 from Biber et al.'s Longman student grammar of spoken and written English.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to understand the nuances of English grammar and will be able to apply their skills in practice. As a result, they will increase their proficiency in English.

Teaching methods
Practical seminars. Students are expected to do the assigned tasks specified in elf for the individual sessions - watching videos, taking e-tests, preparing presentations etc.
Assessment methods
Assessment: attendance, presentations, 5 e-tests (the overall result of the e-tests must be above 69.99%) + credit test (must be above 69.99%).
