Course objectives
The objectives of the course are twofold. On the one hand, it is to deepen the knowledge of Scandinavian cinemas; on the other hand, the course will be structured in such a way that in addition to the knowledge of Scandinavian cinemas and their creators, the lectures will discuss possible approaches to the study of small national cinemas.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- describe the main developmental points of Scandinavian cinemas
- acquire knowledge about the films made, important filmmakers and producers
- describe the specifics of each cinema
- acquire knowledge of methods of researching small national cinemas, including the ability to apply them
