Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be able to understand main notions and selected theories of personality. The aim of the course is to present to students basic psychological terminology and slected topics of the Psychology of personality.
Learning outcomes
Students will understand the terminology used in the field of Psychology of personality. Students will understand the structure and dynamics of the personality. Students will learn selected theories of personality. Students will apply some personality tests them selves and deepen their own self-knowledge.
Syllabus
  • The aims and the subject of psychology of personality (development, structure, dynamics of personality, diagnostics, prognostics and transformation of personality. Description of personality. System of personality. Models. Factorial analysis. Typologies (Eysenck, Cattell). Diagnostics of personality. Big 5. Selected typologies of personality. Risks of typologies. Self in psychology. Selfawareness, selfconcept, selfimage. Development of personality, personal development. Theories of personality - Adler, Frankl, Fromm, Horney, Loevinger, Rogers, Erikson, etc.
