Syllabus
  • The course covers topics related to the occurence of radioactive nuclides and other sources of ionizing radiation in the environment, and associated hazards for mankind: natural radioactivity, indoor radon, medical and other uses of sources of ionizing radiation, impact of nuclear energy on the environment, nuclear accidents, management of radiactive wastes, assessment of risks with particular emphasis on the effect of low doses of radiation.
