Course objectives
The wood-rotting fungi- cultivation, growth, preservation,dimorfism, polymorfism. Effect of external conditions on the growth and development. Effect of water content in the wood. The composition of fungal cell. Carbon metabolism. The action of wood-destrying fungi in wood.The changes in the chemical composition, physical, mechanical and technologoical properties of wood during the wood decay by wood-rotting fungi. The effect of wood-rotting fungi during the humification process of lignocellulose substrates. The effect of some biotic factors on the destroying activity of wood-rotting fungi. The degradation of keratoproteins by some wood-rotting fungi.Cultivation technology of edible wood-rotting fungi.
