Course objectives
Regional geomorphological division of the area under study and its problems. Genesis and age of planation surfaces in the Bohemian Massif - examples from the area under study. The tectonic control of the channel network arrangement - an example from Jihlava river basin. Fault related scarps, fault-line and fault-angle valleys. The development of the river valley related to Miocene transgresions and neotectonic dome-like uplift - Dyje valley. Main morphostratigraphical levels of stream channels development. Periglacial development of the rock forms and associated block accumulations - comparison of the central part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and the territory of the Podyjí NP.
