Předpokladem je absolvování základních přednášek z Obecné chemie (C1020), Anorganické chemie I (C1061), Anorganické chemie II (C2062), Organické chemie I (C2021), Organické chemie II (C3022) a příslušných laboratorních cvičení z těchto předmětů.

Course objectives
A systematic training of "classical" analytical chemistry for students of chemistry. The course includes qualitative analysis, gravimetric analysis, and titrimetry.
Syllabus
  • QUALITITATIVE ANALYSIS
  • 1. Analytical reactions of Li(I), Na(I), K(I), NH4+, Mg(II), Ca(II), Sr(II), Ba(II).
  • 2. Analytical reactions of Hg2(II), Ag(I), Pb(II), Hg(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Bi(III), Sb(III), Sn(II), Sn(IV).
  • 3. Analytical reactions of Al(III), Cr(III), Fe(III), Fe(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Co(II), Ni(II).
  • 4. Analytical reactions of sulphates, sulphites, thiosulphates, fluorides, silicates.
  • 5. Analytical reactions of chromates, phosphates, arsenates, arsenites, borates, carbonates.
  • 6. Analytical reactions of chlorides, bromides, iodides, thiocyanates, hydrogensulfides, nitrites, nitrates, perchlorates. QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS
  • 7. GRAVIMETRY: Iron determination as Fe2O3.
  • 8. ACID-BASE TITRATIONS: Standardization of standard solutions. a) Standardization of 0,1 M NaOH solution using dihydrate of oxalic acid (fft and mo with CaCl2). b) Standardization of 0,1 M HCl solution using sodium carbonate.
  • 9. ACID-BASE TITRATIONS: Alkalimetry. a) Acetic acid determination. b) Phosphoric acid determination.
  • 10. ACID-BASE TITRATIONS: Acidimetry. a) Ammonia determination. b) Sodium carbonate determination in technical liquor. c) Determination of insoluble carbonate.
  • 11. CHELATOMETRIC TITRATIONS: a) Standardization of 0,05 M EDTA solution using lead nitrate. b) Ni(II) determination. c) Determination of Ca(II) a Mg(II) cations in mixture.
  • 12. REDOX TITRATIONS: Iodometry. a) Standardization of 0,05 M Na2S2O3 solution using KIO3. b) Winkler determination of dissolved oxygen in waters.
  • 13. REDOX TITRATIONS: Bischromatometry. a) Preparation of K2Cr2O7 standard solution. b) Fe(II) determination.
