Strategy and Tactics of Biophysical Chemistry (basic questions and strategic approaches of biophysical chemistry, structural levels of biopolymers, the central role of CO2 and water in biological systems) 2. Some Problems of Biopolymer Space Structure (tertiary and quaternary structure of biopolymers, the stability of helical structures, hydrogen bond and disulphidic bond, hydrophobic interaction) 3. Interaction of Biological Molecules with Electromagnetic Radiation (absorption electron, fluorescence and infrared spectroscopies, optical activity, light scattering, resonance methods for the study of structure and function of biopolymers) 4. Dimension and Form of Macromolecules (electron microscopy, hydrodynamic methods, diffusion, sedimentation and centrifugation, roentgen crystallography) 5. Thermodynamics of Biological Systems (1) (specification of biological system, statistical interpretation of entropy, the role of entropy in the biological processes, production of entropy, the problem of standard state, ideal, regular and nonregular solutions, multi-component systems, dissipative structures) 6. Thermodynamics of Biological Systems (2) (some problems of thermodynamics of biological systems, formalism of nonequilibrium phenological thermodynamics, energetics of evolution and regeneration processes) 7. Behaviour of Macromolecules in Solution (statistical interpretation of polymer solutions, Huggins-Flory conception, dialyse equilibrium, osmotic pressure of the polymer component/ Donnan, Scatchard/, formation of random coil) 8. Polyelectrolytes (theory of PEL at the limit concentrations, distribution of counterions, expansion of polyions, thermodynamic, transport and electrical behaviour of PEL, models of PEL) 9. Kinetics of Biological Systems (kinetic processes with more substrates and with more intermediates, catalysis, enzymatic reactions and its regulation, biological clocks) 10. Polarography and Voltammetry of Biological Molecules (usage of polarographic and voltammetric technics for the research of electrochemical behaviour of proteins, nucleic acids and its components, the analysis of molecules of the farmaceutic significance) REFERENCES: 1)Ch.R.Cantor, P.R.Schimmel: Biophysical Chemistry, Vol.1, 2, 3, V.
