Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the environemntal impact of anthropogennic technologies
- describe the main types of technologies which affect the environment
- understand the main technological principles for the providing of clean air, water tretment and purification, waste disposal
- characterize and discuss the principles of the best available techniques and best environemntal practices and also to the disposal of the persistent substances and waste with their contents
- know the methods applicable for the remediation of contaminated soils and sediments

The history of the development of technologies to protect the environment (SITA - 2 hours) I.1 - History of Water Management I.1.1 - The history of water management from antiquity to the 19th century I.1.2 - The modern history of water management I.2 - History of waste management I.2.1 - The history of waste management from antiquity to the 19th century I.2.2-modern history of waste management I.3 - History of Air Protection I.4 - History of soil conservation, nature and landscape 2 HOURS II.
