Course objectives
An advanced lecture. Enzyme nomenclature. Measurement of enzyme activity. Isolation and storage of enzymes. Mechanisms of enzyme catalysis. Enzyme kinetics. The effect of temperature, pH and inhibitors. Techniques of enzyme immobilization. Use of enzymes in biotechnology and biochemical analyses.
