Course objectives
The instruction has the nature of consultations, pertinent to petrological work. It is focused on practical tasks, ensuing from the theme of diploma thesis, namely:  micropetrographic analyses, quantitative mineralogical analyses, rock classifications, grain-size measurement, porosity  microstructural and textural petrological characteristics  thermogravimetry and its application  X-ray diffraction study of rocks and its application  infrared spectroscopy and its application in petrographically oriented work  electron microscopy and microanalysis The instruction is modified according to needs of the diploma students in individual classes.
