Course objectives
The aims of the course are to improve students´ academic skills (poster presentation, functional language, abstract) as well as B1 grammar and specialist vocabulary related to geology.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic texts/lectures on Earth Science
identify the main idea
formulate the main idea
write an abstract to a poster presentation
present the topics of the course using basic presentation techniques
apply acquired vocabulary and skills in academic English to new topics
