congratulations on your success in the selection procedure for the position at Masaryk University,
the Faculty of Economics and Administration. I would like to give you the following job offer:


Job Title:

e.g. Postdoc researcher position at the Department of Economics

Place of Work:

e.g.

·         Workplaces of Masaryk University in Brno, Faculty of Economics, Lipova 41 a, Brno or

·         Czech Republic, Brno

Starting Date:

Earliest starting date of the contract is July 1st, 2022, a later starting date can be negotiated.

The position is about:

e.g.

·         Pursuing promising research in the field of macroeconomics

·         Research cooperation with current members of the department in the field of
macroeconomics

·         Successful academic publishing in leading journals in the field

·         The position does not involve teaching duties.

·         Teaching activities can be arranged upon mutual agreement.


Contract:

e.g.

·         3year contract with possible prolongation and tenure-track with a 3-month trial period at
the beginning of the employment

·         3year contract with a 3-month trial period at the beginning of the employment

·         The contract ends on the December 31st, 2025. This employment includes a three-month
trial period at the beginning of the contract.


Working Hours:

Full time employment/part time employment, i.e., 40/ XY hours per week

Wage:

e.g.  (Czech employees)

The gross monthly salary is 65 000 CZK, the wage components are:

·         wage rate 50 000 CZK – determined based on the agreed type of work corresponding to the
classification in the wage classes listed in the MU Internal Wage Regulations

·         performance premium 15 000 CZK – individually determined variable wage component


e.g. (foreigners)

The gross monthly salary is 65 000 CZK.

The gross monthly salary will be reduced by the following law compulsory deductions:

a) an advance payment for the income tax (15 %),

b) a social security contribution and a state employment policy contribution (6,5 %),

c) a public health insurance contribution (4,5 %).


Institutional contributions to social and health insurance are paid by employer and are not part of
the gross salary.


The Masaryk University hereby declares that the employee is covered under the social security and
health insurance scheme valid for the employees in the Czech Republic and that the employee enjoys
the same standards of safety and occupational health as those awarded to the local researchers of
the Masaryk University holding a similar position.

Bonus:

Annual bonus based on meeting individual targets up to one month's salary.

Prosím o Vaše vyjádření do 24. 2. 2022 k výše uvedené nabídce s tím, že si dovolujeme předem
vyloučit přijetí této nabídky s dodatkem či odchylkou. V takovém případě bychom takové vyjádření
