IBM Internship Program 2013
The IBM Delivery Centre team in Brno makes it possible for you to take part in interesting
IT projects within The Internship Program. This program is available from March – June
2013.
IBM Delivery Center Czech Republic Brno is one of the biggest and most diverse IBM
centers of its kind worldwide. Brno centre core activities focus on providing strategic
outsourcing services, remote server and application support, networking services and end
customer support.
Automation developer in Middleware team
You will have the opportunity to become part of Middleware team (2
nd
and 3
rd
level). This team provides
complex service on Middleware layer/infrastructure (WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat,
Apache HTTP Server, Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBOSS) for our corporate clients from various branches
of business (financial, automotive, logistic....) mainly from EU.
Typical activities of the team:
Incident management - solution/troubleshooting of technical incidents in production environment
Problem management - analysis of repeating incidents, preparation of root cause analysis
Change management - implementations of changes (configuration, deployment, installation)
Projects - proposals/design/build new production environments for clients.
The project is focused on development of new or enhancement of existing tools, used for administration
of middleware environment. Used programming language is Perl or shell scripts. Next part of the project
is development of VB macros in MS Excel for evaluation of statistical data.
Skills required:
• mandatory: Perl, shell scripting
• optional (advantage): VB macros for MS Excel, administration of UNIX servers

Working hours are flexible, ideally 20 - 30 hrs per week. Detailed description of internship will be
