Disciplinary Regulations for Students of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University Article 1 Subject of modification (1) The Disciplinary Regulations for Students of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") are internal regulations of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University (hereinafter referred to as the "Faculty") within the meaning of Section 33 (2) (e) of Act No.111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education Institutions), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"). (2) In the event that these Regulations, the Disciplinary Regulations for Students of Masaryk University (hereinafter referred to as the "MU Disciplinary Regulations") or the Act do not contain special provisions, Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Code, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Administrative Code"), shall apply to proceedings concerning a disciplinary offence. (3) These Regulations supplement the MU Disciplinary Regulations, which set out disciplinary offences for MU students, regulate details of the hearing of disciplinary offences and disciplinary proceedings, including the Disciplinary Committee and its Rules of Procedure, as well as the rules for imposing sanctions for disciplinary offences. Article 2 Disciplinary offence (1) A disciplinary offence is a culpable breach of a duty laid down by law or MU regulations which endangers or undermines the interests, activities or mission of MU or one of its components. (2) Disciplinary offences are defined in detail in Article 2 of the MU Disciplinary Regulations. Article 3 Disciplinary proceedings Details of the hearing of disciplinary offences and disciplinary proceedings are regulated in Part Two of the MU Disciplinary Regulations. Article 4 Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty (1) The Faculty Disciplinary Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Disciplinary Committee") is a self-governing academic body. (2) The Disciplinary Committee has 6 members. The term of office of a member of the Disciplinary Board shall be 2 years from the date of his/her appointment. (3) The members and alternates of the Disciplinary Board are appointed and removed by the Dean from among the members of the academic community of the Faculty with the prior approval of the Academic Senate of the Faculty. The Dean cannot be a member of the Disciplinary Board. (4) Half of the members of the Disciplinary Committee are students enrolled at the Faculty. Student members of the Disciplinary Board must not be employed by MU. (5) Before the expiry of the term of office, membership of the Disciplinary Board shall terminate by removal pursuant to paragraph 3, by written resignation delivered to the Dean or by termination of membership in the relevant part of the academic community of the Faculty within the meaning of paragraphs 3 and 4. Article 5 Rules of Procedure of the Disciplinary Board The Rules of Procedure of the Disciplinary Board are governed by Part Three of the MU Disciplinary Regulations. Article 6 Delivery Delivery of documents in disciplinary proceedings is regulated by Article 17 of the MU Disciplinary Regulations. Article 7 Transitional provisions (1) Liability for disciplinary offences shall be assessed under the existing regulations if the conduct giving rise to liability occurred before the date of entry into force of these Regulations; it shall be assessed under these Regulations only if this is more favourable to the student. (2) Proceedings commenced before the entry into force of these Rules shall be completed in accordance with these Rules. (3) A Disciplinary Board established before the entry into force of these Regulations shall be deemed to be a Disciplinary Board established under these Regulations. Article 8 Final provisions (1) The Disciplinary Regulations of the Faculty of Informatics of MU of 7 December 2020 are repealed. (2) These Regulations were approved pursuant to Section 27 (1) (b) of the Act by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Informatics of MU on 22 April 2022. (3) These Regulations were approved by the Academic Senate of Masaryk University on 6 June 2022 pursuant to Section 9(1)(b) of the Act. (4) These Regulations come into force on the date of approval by the MU Academic Senate. (5) These Regulations shall come into force on 1 September 2022. prof. RNDr. Jiří Zlatuška, CSc. Dean
