It is a catholic private school. There are six main divisions within the school: pre elementary, primary, secondary school and high school. There is also a vocational school (trade and secretarial courses). The age class for junior high school's pupils is between 11 and 14 years-old and between 15 and 20 years-old for the secondary school pupils. There are boarders and non boarders pupils. The staff including the teachers consists of 150 persons. There are 1420 pupils. A new school canteen and gymnasium were built two years ago. There are three sports sections: basketball, football, rugby and table tennis. The pupils can do extra activities such as gymnastics, drama. There is also a choir. The school pays particular attention to languages' skills and good knowledge of Europe. Three foreign languages are taught: English from the age of 9, German as well as Spanish (taught as a third language only in high school). There are extra hours of German for the pupils from the age of 13. Haguenau is located in the northern part of Alsace, about 30 minutes from Strasbourg by car. The school is located in the city centre which is only 10 minutes walk from the station. It is a very convenient place where there are a lot of shops, other schools, restaurants, a library, a swimming pool etc. The forest and the surroundings can also provide for a lot of leisure activities. Teaching and supporting the teachers to conduct small groups to develop the students oral skills at any levels (different levels according to the terms), 2. Organisation of school trips (junior high school and the high school), 3. Recording of teaching materials for the students, especially to prepare the candidates for their final oral tests and exams, 4. Launching the “Café polyglotte” with the pupils to create authentic situations of communication with a native speaker, 5. Directing the yearly drama class for the European contest taking place in Prague, 6. Developing oral skills with pupils of different levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced), 7. Launching English specific programmes on the trainee’s own direction to develop projects such as E-twinning or partnerships with penfriends, 8.
