1 Masaryk University Faculty of Law Instruction No. 6/2023 Minimum standards for interactive curricula (as amended with effect from 8 June 2023) Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Higher Education Act"), I issue this instruction: Article 1 Home The purpose of the guideline is to ensure minimum standards for interactive curricula of study courses related to Master's and Bachelor's degree programmes at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University. Article 2 Definition of minimum standards for interactive curricula The interactive course syllabus must include: (1) Detailed definition of the aim and content of the course of study, including the preliminary programme of lectures. Although this information is contained in the socalled course card, the interactive curriculum is more accessible to learners. (2) Detailed course completion requirements (pass and fail), if held in writing, or at least a detailed description of it, including the headings that make up the course completion. (3) Determination of the method and form of teaching, including which platform will be used for teaching (to be used only if the teaching is not provided in full-time form). If the lectures of the course will not be transmitted or if the recording of the lectures will not be included in the interactive syllabus, this information must be explicitly stated in the interactive syllabus. (4) Definition of the required sources (especially textbooks, scripts, monographs, commentaries, professional articles) that students must master to successfully complete the course. Since the number of pages that the learner must read are part of the credit value of the course, specific pages are listed - if the source will not be used in its entirety. Relevant legislation and court decisions should also be listed; these do not count towards the credit load. (5) Basic study aids (especially presentations, texts and materials for lectures or seminars). (6) Specification of the core areas to be mastered by the learner, corresponding to the learning outcomes, including the identification of key words and institutes. (7) Self-correction exercises with feedback, either automated in the Information System or individual consultations (even at a distance). 2 Article 3 Optional parts of the interactive curriculum The interactive curricula may also contain, beyond the minimum standard, supplementary (optional) study materials, in particular texts for studying, reviewing and deepening the material taught, audio or video materials, relevant links to websites. For a comprehensive grasp of the content of the course, the interactive curriculum may contain additional optional study materials, especially scholarly articles (or links to them). Article 4 Final provisions (1) I entrust the Vice-Deans of Studies for the Master's and Bachelor's degree programmes with monitoring compliance with this instruction and interpreting its individual provisions. (2) This instruction shall take effect on 8 June 2023. In Brno, 7 June 2023 Martin Škop Dean Translated by DeepL machine translation service.
