Commercial rental of classrooms and other premises of
PrF
(as amended with effect from 1 September 2023)
Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and
on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended
(hereinafter referred to as the "Higher Education Act"), I issue this instruction:
Article 1
Subject of modification
This guideline regulates the conditions for the commercial rental of lecture halls and other
common areas of the Masaryk University Faculty of Law (hereinafter referred to as the
"Faculty"), especially with regard to their operation and responsibility for their permanent
good condition.
Article 2
Purpose of use of auditoriums and other common areas
(1) These premises are intended primarily for teaching at the Faculty of Arts and related
activities, which take precedence over their use by other entities.
(2) Reservations for their use by other entities (especially other MU departments, external
entities) are approved by the Secretary of the Faculty of Arts and are for a fee.
(3) Reservations are only possible from Monday to Friday during faculty opening hours.
(4) The reservation request must be made at least 2 working days before the requested
date. In the booking request, the applicant shall specify the date, time and purpose
of use, including any requirement for access to the computer network, the presence
of a technician, etc.
(5) Records of requests, or orders or internal orders are kept by the CDV, which submits
the documents for invoicing to the PrF's economic department.
(6) In the event of damage, the extent and method of compensation must also be reported
immediately to the Head of Building Management and the Secretary of the
Faculty of Arts. During the rental period, the applicant assumes responsibility for all
inventory, including audiovisual equipment.

Article 3
Rent
(1) The use of the aforementioned premises for teaching purposes or other purposes
fulfilling the mission of the PrF is free of charge for the PrF.
(2) For entities other than PrF, the rent is set out in Annex 1.
(3) The rent shall inseparably include the rent for the use of any equipment located in
the relevant room. In the event of a requirement for the presence of a technician,
etc., compensation is agreed upon.
(4) VAT is added to the rent according to the applicable regulations.
(5) Classrooms or premises not listed in Annex 1 cannot be rented.
(6) The rent of the faculty foyer for social and other events is set at 50 CZK/m2
for
external entities and 25 CZK/m2
per hour for other MU departments. The price of 1
hour of the entire 484 m2 entrance foyer per hour is set at CZK 10,000/hour for
external entities and CZK 5,000 for other MU departments. This provision does not
apply if the foyer is used together with the Karel Engliš Great Hall (VAKE) for academic
ceremonies.
(7) VAKE is rented by the RMU Department for Academic Qualifications.
Article 4
Final provisions
(1) The interpretation of the individual provisions of this instruction and its continuous
updating is entrusted to the Secretary of the Faculty of Arts.
(2) The Instruction shall enter into force on 1 September 2023.
