Measure of the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University No. 1/2019

                                 Verification of foreign education

Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on
Amendments and Additions to Other Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Higher
Education Act"), I issue the following measure:[DEL: :DEL]

Article 1

Establishment of a condition for verification of prior learning


(1)         Pursuant to the provisions of Section 48(5) of the Higher Education Act, the Dean of
the Faculty of Informatics sets the following conditions for verification of the previous level of
education attained by applicants for admission to study in a doctoral study programme or in a
master's study programme that is a continuation of a bachelor's study programme.

(2)         Applicants who have obtained a foreign higher education degree by completing their
studies in a higher education programme at a foreign higher education institution that has been
ranked at least once in the last 5 years in the respected Times Higher Education World University
Rankings up to 500th place - see Annex 1 of this measure, these applicants shall submit the
appropriate proof of education to verify the previous level of education achieved.


Article 2

Final provisions


(1)         I hereby delegate the interpretation of the individual provisions of this measure to
the Vice-Dean for Bachelor's and Master's Studies and the Vice-Dean for Research, Development and
Doctoral Studies.

(2)         Compliance with this measure is monitored by the Department of Studies and the
Department of Research, Development and Doctoral Studies.

(3)         This measure shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

(4)         This measure enters into force on 14 January 2019.
