Measure of the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University No. 14/2024 Scholarship for Supporting International Stays and International Cooperation of Doctoral Students in 2025 1. The purpose of the scholarship is to support doctoral students who, as part of fulfilling their study obligations in mandatory doctoral study courses, gain experience at foreign universities and institutions. These stays aim to deepen their professional knowledge or practical skills related to their field of study and dissertation work. 2. The scholarship is announced starting January 1, 2025. 3. The scholarship is funded by the PPSŘ 2022–2025 program — the Program for Supporting Strategic Management of Higher Education Institutions for the years 2022– 2025, specifically the section for supporting doctoral student mobility, hosting foreign experts, and promoting doctoral studies abroad. 4. A total amount of CZK 800,000 is allocated for this purpose in 2025. 5. Scholarships are awarded by the Vice-Dean for Research and Doctoral Studies. 6. Applicants will be informed of the decision regarding their scholarship application no later than 30 days after submission. A. International Stays 1. The scholarship supports international stays of a minimum duration of 90 days, contributing to the completion of the courses FSSd09900 or FSSd0990. In accordance with Measure No. 11/2024 of the Faculty of Social Studies, such stays may be divided into three parts, each lasting at least one month. Financial support is provided for up to 90 days of stay, even if the stay (or the cumulative total of approved parts) is longer. This is an additional benefit intended to facilitate the development of professional knowledge or practical skills in the students' educational fields. 2. The scholarship is available to students who, at the planned start of the international stay, are within the standard duration of their doctoral studies. It is also required that, during the semesters starting in the calendar year in which the scholarship is announced (or in the following semester), they enroll in the course FSSd0900 or FSSd0990. The scholarship is not intended for stays in the applicant's country of permanent residence. 3. The maximum scholarship amount is CZK 18,000 per month of stay. The specific amount considers the cost of living in the host country. The maximum scholarship for the entire stay is CZK 54,000. 4. Students may request an increase in the scholarship for traveling abroad with a dependent person they care for and live with in the same household. The dependent person may be a child under the age of 10 and/or an adult requiring daily care. The increased scholarship equals 100% of the awarded amount under paragraph 3. 5.
