Instruction of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University No.

To carry out an occupational health and safety (OHS) and
fire protection (FP) inspection at LF MU workplaces
Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and
on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended
(hereinafter referred to as the "Higher Education Act"), I issue the following measure:
Article 1
Instruction to carry out the screening
(1) I hereby order an inspection of the status and compliance with occupational health
and safety (OHS) regulations and fire protection (FP) inspections at the workplaces
of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University outside the joint workplaces with
the faculty hospitals (i.e. theoretical workplaces, administrative workplaces, special
purpose facilities, workplaces of non-medical disciplines and workplaces for
educational and scientific research activities).
(2) Occupational health and safety inspections will be carried out in accordance with
Section 108, paragraph 5 of Act No. 262/2006 Coll., the Labour Code, as amended,
and Act No. 133/1985 Coll., on Fire Protection, as amended, Section 5, paragraph
1. c).
Article 2
Persons responsible for carrying out the screening
(1) The organisation of the vetting will be divided between the main vetting committee
and the sub-vetting committees at each site.
(2) I hereby appoint the following members of the main vetting committee:
Chairman:Ing.Michal Sellner, Secretary of LF MU
members:Bc.Edita Uherková, OSH and OHS Officer, Faculty of
Medicine MU
Leoš Spáčil, Head of TPO LF MU
PaedDr. Věra Mráčková, member of the FV ZO VOS at LF MU.
(3) Each senior employee is required to establish a sub-screening committee at his/her
workplace. The sub-screening committee is responsible for ensuring that the OSH
and OHS checks are carried out at the workplace and for recording their results.
(4) The sub-commissions are composed as follows:
a. members of the main screening committee
b. the head of the department (or an authorised representative)
c. Fire prevention officer (if appointed)
d. trade union representative at the workplace

Article 6
Final provisions
(1) The date of the HSE inspection at individual workplaces is set out in the Annex to
this instruction.
(2) I hereby delegate the interpretation of the individual provisions of this measure to
the LF MU OHS&P Officer.
(3) Compliance with this measure is monitored by the LF MU Secretary.
(4) This measure shall enter into force and take effect on the date of its publication.
