No.: MU-IS/114763/2018/756598/LF-1 Page 1 z 3 Directive of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University No. 2/2018 On the registration of the results of scientific research activities at Faculty of Medicine MU (as amended with effect from 12 September 2018) Pursuant to Section 28 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts, as amended (the Higher Education Act), I issue this Directive: General provisions Subject of modification 1. This Directive regulates the rights and obligations of employees and students (hereinafter referred to as "authors") of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University (hereinafter referred to as "MU Faculty of Medicine") when recording data on the results of scientific research activities at MU Faculty of Medicine, with the aim of unifying and standardizing the internal recording in connection with reporting to the national register of information on results via the Masaryk University Information System (hereinafter referred to as "MU IS"). Interpretation of terms 1. Recording of results means making records of the results of the scientific research activities of LF MU staff and students arising within the scope of their employment or study relationship to LF MU via the Publications application in IS MU. 2. Result means any result of scientific research activities, especially publications, of aut- hors. Affiliation and dedication of results Affiliation of results 1. Authors are obliged to record all results only in relation to the employment or study relationship that gave rise to the result. 2. Unless otherwise expressly stipulated by the publisher to whom the result has been submitted for publication, the author is obliged to indicate the affiliation in the format specified in the Methodological Instruction for the Recording of Results of Scientific Research Activities of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, which forms Annex 1 to this Directive (hereinafter referred to as "LF MU Methodology"). 3. Doctoral students are obliged to submit publications related to their dissertation to the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. Works without affiliation to the MU Faculty of Medicine will not be counted towards fulfilling publication obligations, especially when awarding credits, interim or final review of the course of study or for the assessment of publication obligations necessary for admission to the thesis defence. In the case of dedication of a result to a project for the implementation of which financial support has been provided by a third party, the authors are obliged to comply with the relevant instructions of the provider of financial support governing the dedication of results generated within the framework of the project. Evidence of results Evidence 1. Authors are obliged to register the results via the IS MU without undue delay after the publication of the result. 2. The obligation to record results applies to all types of results defined in the current Methodology for the Evaluation of Results of Research Organisations and Evaluation of Programmes of Special Purpose Support for Research Development and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the "Methodology") issued by the Council for Research, Development and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the "RDI") and results dedicated to LF MU projects. Compliance with the Methodological Guideline Authors 1. Authors are obliged to report results in accordance with the MU Faculty of Medicine Methodology. Guarantor of R&D results 1. The method of appointing a guarantor of R&D results and his/her duties are set out in the LF MU Methodology. 2. The guarantors of R&D results are obliged to comply with the duties of a guarantor of R&D results set out in the LF MU Methodology. Authorized OVVPP LF MU employee 1. The rights and duties of the authorised OVVPP LF MU employee are set out in the LF MU Methodology. Final provisions Final provisions 1. The Department for Science, Research and Project Support of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University is responsible for the interpretation of individual provisions of this Directive and for updating this Directive. 2. An integral part of this Directive is Annex No. 1: Methodological Instruction for the Recording of Results of Scientific Research Activities of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University 4. On the effective date of this Directive, the MU Faculty of Medicine Dean's Directive No. 1/2013 on reporting of scientific research activities is repealed. 5.
