Measures of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University No. 11/2024 Announcement of the competition for the Dean's Prize of the Faculty of Law of MU for the best study support in 2024 (as amended effective from 15 October 2024) Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), I issue the following measure: Article 1 Announcement of the competition The Dean of the Faculty of Law of MU announces the competition for the Dean's Award for 2024 for the best study support in the interactive curriculum of the MU Information System (hereinafter referred to as "IS") in the following categories: 1. Dean's Award for Innovation 2. Dean's Award for Creativity 3. Dean's Award for Outstanding Content Study support means a comprehensive and systematically processed set of study materials intended for self-study of students in all forms of study. Its purpose is to guide and direct learners in the learning process in the part of the learning process where this function cannot be performed by the academic due to personal or online absence. The learning support is made available to learners through interactive curricula in the IS and is prepared in accordance with the methodology of Masaryk University.1 In the case of the Dean's Award, the aim of the competition is to: 1. Innovation: to encourage and reward significant qualitative and quantitative improvements in the content of existing learning support; 2. Introducing new creative approaches to teaching through learning support, including the use of new applications or learning processes; b. the use of modern technologies for the processing of study support, provided that knowledge and experience is shared within the academic community of the MU Faculty of Science; 3. Content: to promote and value study guides that not only serve as a selfstudy guide but also replace traditional printed textbooks. Article 2 Conditions of the competition - proposals for awards are submitted by any member of the academic community of the MU Faculty of Arts; - Proposals for awards are submitted to the Dean via the Vice-Dean for Bachelor's and Continuing Master's Studies (david.sehnalek@law.muni.cz); - the competition is linked to the study courses of which the study support is a part, while a study course announced in 2024, which is part of the study plan of one of the study programmes accredited at the MU Faculty of Science, may be proposed for the competition; - the guarantor of the course of study will be awarded. In the event of winning the competition, the supervisor of the course may nominate other persons to be awarded the prize if their contribution to the production of the course materials is decisive; - the study materials and all related materials must be accessible to students during the period in which the course is taught. They shall be accessible via the interactive syllabus in the IS, to anyone logged in to the IS, or publicly to anyone on the Internet; - proposals for the award will be collected until 31 December 2024; - The proposal for the award must include identification of the course of study and justification for the proposal.
