Objectives & conditions of the call
R – CAREER RESTART
̶ grants for individual applicants
̶ last employed by MUNI with at least 0,5 FTE workload (PhD studies count as 0,6 FTE)
̶ recently after career break, e.g. parental leave
̶ holder of PhD degree
̶ at least one significant scientific publication where the applicant had major contribution
̶ (re-)integration into a research team at MUNI – vision of excellence and independence
̶ Career restart holder must have at least 0,5 FTE workload which may not be financed from GAMU
̶ at least 60% of budget must be incurred as salary premium / bonus for the holder
̶ up to 40% of budget may be dedicated to consumables, services, travel etc.
Annual budget: CZK 500 thousand / calendar year
Duration of funding: 2 years

With MASH, we seek:
MASH & MASH JUNIOR
With MASH JUNIOR, we seek:
̶ researchers up to 8 years after PhD;
̶ with a profile and research intent that may be
competitive in ERC StG or CoG calls;
̶ mobility: who were employed by MUNI for no
more than 12 out of the last 36 months.
̶ established researchers (professor level);
̶ holding an ERC (AdG, CoG) or with clear
potential to be awarded one soon;
̶ mobility: who were not employed by MUNI
during the 5 years prior to the call deadline.
We expect the MASH holder to:
̶ be employed full-time at MUNI;
̶ transfer their research team to MUNI and
continue to produce cutting-edge results;
̶ contribute to research management and science
communication at MUNI.
We expect the MASH JUNIOR holder to:
̶ be employed full-time at MUNI;
̶ to establish their independent research team /
line of research / lab at MUNI;
