Assessment

In this course, we tried to follow the formative assessment approach as best as possible. Therefore, the most important "evaluation" you get from this course is written or oral feedback. However, as this course is assessed by "exam," we must issue you a grade. The final grade is assigned by the following criteria (maximum 120 points). If you actively participate in the course, there is almost no chance you will fail the course.

  • A = 100 - 93
  • B =   92 - 85
  • C =   84 - 77
  • D =   76 - 69
  • E =   68 - 60.

You can earn points based on the following activities and tasks. Nothing except the project report is mandatory. You must achieve at least 50% points from the report to be awarded a grade (when you have enough total points).

  • 12 points - class preparation tasks
    • assignments are accessible through MS Teams, where you will have Feedback Fruits assignments for each teaching block. The deadline is not hard. However, you risk not getting feedback;
    • the preparation tasks are not important because of points, but they allow you to learn and take back as much as possible from the classes and course topics; the tasks will also increase the chance of obtaining points from other sources.
  • 18 points  - active participation
    • maximum 3 points per learning block for active participation and task completion;
    • bonuses for chosen individual and group activities;
    • competitions;
    • IF (POINTS_TOTAL < 60) THEN max_activity=18 ELSE full_activity
  • 10 points - mid-term
    • on an agreed date (during the first learning block), you can go through a test (at the faculty) on the first 4 blocks;
  • 25 points - end-term
    • online open book design of INST for a case study company;
    • we will agree on the date during the first learning block;
  • 40 points - group project (couples or triplets)
    • creating INST for a real company;
    • you will create a template for INST during classes;
    • we will agree on the deadline during the first learning block;
  • 15 points - project defense
    • presentation, discussion, and questions about theory ("oral exam");
    • we will agree on the date during the first learning block;
