ASSIGNMENT No 1

                     A 5- MINUTE POWERPOINT LECTURE– POPULAR SCIENTIFIC TOPIC

You are a secondary school teacher. You need to explain to your 18-year old students the basics of
the popular scientific topic given to you by your teacher.

ITASK: Give a five-minute PowerPoint lecture. In your lecture you will

·         explain a specialist topic but present it  in a way comprehensible to the layman.

·         use the facts given to you by your teacher. If necessary you can omit some information or
expand it by using information from other sources.

·         use visual aids.

·         share your personal interest in this topic.

·         emphasize how your students will benefit from having this information.

·         include questions for the audience to test YOU if you have done a good job explaining
it.
