Abstract: Implementation for enterprise Information Integration is an interesting middleware area that helps  federating heterogeneous data sources. Data federation is not easy and many problems arise, including: memory management, network transfer optimizations, transaction management. JBoss Teiid is free open source solution to the Information Integration. While it's usage is not without problems, it is a promising solution in the area  and the lecture shows basic usage.
