n   Students studying for their first degree are called undergraduates

n   After completing the first degree you become a graduate.

n   First degrees:

n   BA= bachelor of arts

n   BSc= bachelor of science

n   After completing your second degree you become a postgraduate.

n   Second degrees:

n   MA= Master of Arts

n   MSc= Master of Science

n   PhD= Doctor of Philosophy
