    1. COURSE REQUIREMENTS

   

   Attendance is required.

   Active participation in class is expected.

   You are expected to come to class prepared to discuss the readings. (You should read around 40
   pages a week.)

   Article Review(s).

   

   (30 % of your final grade)

   

   

   29 May 2006: deadline for final essay

   

   (70 % of your final grade)

   

   Late delivery will result in a loss of points!

   

   

    2. ASSIGNMENTS

   

   23 March 2006: Article Review

   

   Among all the readings up to this date - including the readings for the 23 March lecture -
   chose a text (a book chapter, or an article, or several shorter excerpts from a reader). As
   long as it is from the course literature list and it complies with the themes we have already
   covered in class, the choice is yours.

   

   Format of the Article Review:

   

   12 point font, 1.5 or double line spacing, 800 -- 1000 words.

   Do not forget to reference the text you are writing about, and sign your name J
