FIRST ESSAY QUESTION

   Please prepare an 8 page argument in proper essay form to the statement below (DO NOT WRITE
   MORE THAN 8 DOUBLED SPACED PAGES!!):

   

   

   According to Arendt, what are the origins of totalitarianism? Are you convinced by her
   arguments? Why or why not?

   

   (Your answer MUST include ideas from class discussions and examples from The Origins of
   Totalitarianism.  DO NOT summarize the book, rather characterize her ideas briefly and state
   whether or not you agree with them backing up your claims with a proper academic argument)

   

   

   Your essay must adhere to the following guidelines:

   Three simple conventions are presented for when you must provide a reference:

    2. If the way in which you are using the source is unclear, make it clear.
