READING HANNAH ARENDT SECOND ESSAY QUESTION DUE DATE: JUNE 16, 2007 via email to: laurabunt@mail.muni.cz Please prepare an 10 page (doubled spaced, 11 point font) argument in proper essay form to the statement below (DO NOT WRITE MORE THAN 10 DOUBLED SPACED PAGES, I WILL NOT READ IT!!): Arendt’s writings are unorthodox and often eclectic. As the title of this course suggests we have been “reading Hannah Arendt” in different ways: as a philosopher, as a political theorist, as a journalist, as a social critic, and possibly as a religious thinker. Given this list, in your opinion, what is the best way to read Hannah Arendt? Use at least two of the texts discussed in class to construct your argument. Your essay must adhere to the following guidelines: o You MUST turn your essay in on time NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE, o You MUST use examples from the texts discussed in class o You MUST follow the essay form discussed in class, i.e. proper argument, style, and grammar o Please include your name on EVERY page o DO NOT plagiarize (you can be expelled from the University for it)* *Plagiarism is defined as "the act of passing off as one's own the ideas or writings of another."
