1. Mock test I.
You test your knowledge and skills in taught topics. Result has no influence on
evaluation.
2. Searching for a book in a library catalogue
You find out a shelve number of a concrete book in the MU library catalogue.
3. Evaluating an internet resource
You search for one scholarly web page relevant to your field of study and write down
why the content is reliable and credible.
4. Searching in a scientific database
You learn how to search in scientific journal databases. You set the query with key
words and search for articles/documents relevant to the topic.
5. Searching for fulltext
You find fulltext of a journal article in a database accessible in Masaryk University
network.
6. Detection of plagiarism
You find signs of plagiarism in a short scholarly text.
7. Creating bibliography in the EndNoteWeb
You generate a list of bibliographies in the EndNoteWeb reference manager.
8. Comparing journals by scientometric indicators
You decide which journal is superior in quality in context of scientometric indicators
(impact factor etc.). This task is voluntary.
