Making of wax template or making of custom tray if necessary. This custom tray is made of
shellack or acrylic.

Registration of intemaxillary relationship – occlusion, choice of the colour of the arteficial
teeth.
3.rh phase in dental lab
• Preparation of the model for backup.
All undercuts are blocked out with wax, also the space under the future framework is covered
with wax and the impression with a special materiál (based on agar or arteficial materiál) in a
special duplication flask is made.
This impression is filled with the investing materiál – the duplication is called casting model.
The base of the model has a hole – for the influx system.
The framework is made on the casting model of a special wax ,
Investment with the same investing material –in a plastic ring. This is removed after the
setting of the investing materiál. The block of investing metarial is placed into s special oven
and heated. The wax is burnt out and the block of the investing materiál expands. This
expansion is a compensation of the shrinkage of the metal alloy after casting and cooling.
The casting process is performed using a specialcasting machine.
3rd phase in dental office
Try the metal framework – the dentist check i fit fits well.
4th phase in dental surgery
The models are mounted into the articulator. The denture is built up – base is made of wax
and acrylic teeth are placed into the correct position.
5th phase in dental office – the denture is tried. The dentist checks the position of teeth,
intermaxillary relationship, fonation, aesthetics.
6th phase in dental lab
The prothesis with the wax bases is put into a special flask – four parts of flask.
Gypsum is used. Model is paĺaced into to lower part of the flask, this poart is filled with the
gypsum, after seting the isolation is performer, upper part of the four part flask is adjusted and
filled with the gypsum again. After seting of the gypsum,the flask is opened and wax removed
with hot water, the gypsum is insulated and the wax is replaced with resin material. The flask
is closed again and pressed in a special machine. After that polymeriazion of resin take place
in hot water. The flask is held in a special cleap. After the polymerization (2,5 hours) the flask
is open, the gypsum destroyed and the denture is finished and polished.
7th phase in dental office:
Prothesis is given to the patient
The dentist must check everything – aesthetics, fonation, articulation.
The patient gives some instructions, best in a written form. The denture must be celaned after
the meal, placed to the antiseptic during the nigth, if there would be any discomfort the patient
must visit the dentist.
