Language Skills Requirements: Spring 2006 The purpose of this course is to help the student refine/develop their use of English to fit the classroom setting as well as to develop English for educational/professional purposes. Course book: English for the Teacher Course breakdown: The course will be broken down into three parts. Part One (33 points): There will be an oral exam based on setting up activities in the classroom. Throughout the semester there will be practice activities in the classroom as well as supplementary activities on IS with audio samples. The details of this examination will be discussed in class. Part Two (33 points): A paper will be assigned at the beginning of the semester. The contents of this paper will be discussed in detail in class with the instructor. Part Three (34 points): There will be a comprehensive written exam during the exam period that will cover all of the materials from the lectures and the coursebook.
