Matthew NICHOLLS. Resource of the Academic Writing e-course. Availableat ;. (c) Masaryk University 2007. Was this your experience of writing in Czech schools? Typically, Czech students do very little independent writing at school. They usually do not plan their writing. They just start... ...and when they write, they put down their ideas almost exactly as they think of them that is, in no particular order. They stop writing when they have run out of things to say... Often writing in Czech schools is considered acceptable if it is spelled correctly and written in a good style. The structure is not very important... (... and, sometimes, nor is the content! )
