1) Short efficient descrip3on of the object/monument and its proper3es (localiza3on, museal history, material, technique,
restora3ons, etc.)
2) State of the art (what has been written by scholars about this object/monument, about its use/function/meaning, what are the
main and most recent hypotheses). Be concrete about the bibliography you have been using and that you have read about the
object, for example:
“As argued by Bahrani, the representation of the goddess Ishtar on later Babylonian artifacts is due to the impact of Hellenistic
trends in the reception of female naked deities.”1 or (Bahrani 1996)
