The credits are granted when the following conditions are fullfiled:

  • 100% attendance

    • every absence has to be substituted
    • substitution has to be agreed in advance by the teachers of the regular as well substituting practice
    • one absence can be excused by a teacher, any other absence has to be excused formally by the Faculty
    • late-comers cannot join the practice and have to substitute the missed practice

  • Complete set of protocols

    • protocols are elaborated using the official template
    • protocols must include labeled drawings of all required slides, schemes or electronograms
    • magnification or a scale bar must be included to every drawing

    • students has to demonstrated the complete set of protocols signed by a teacher to have the credits granted
    • students can be asked during the exam to demonstrate protocols from both semesters of the Histology and Embryology course

  • Testing

    • every student is examined four times per semester by written, "partial", test
    • tests can be done in the regular practice only, not in the substituting practice
    • all four tests have to be passed (4/4)
    • test questions are both image-based and textual. Questions examine knowledge of structures studied in the previous practical lesson, including the necessary theory, English and Latin names and terminology, histophysiology as well as developmental and embryonic context, and the theory for the current practical lesson
    • all images are available online through the Atlas of Histology and the
    • if more than 50% of questions in the partial tests are answered correctly, the test is considered as passed

  • Resits

    • if a student fails a partial test, it is indicated in the IS (F). The partial test can be repeated once until the end of semester (1st resit). If this fifth test is passed (4/5), conditions for getting credits are met
    • if a student fails in the 1st resit test, it is also indicated in the IS (FF). The "semestral" (2nd resit) test is scheduled at the end of semester. This semestral test covers all the topics of the semester. If the semestral test is not passed, the result is indicated in the IS (FFF) and the credits cannot be granted
    • students with more than 30% of absences have to pass the semestral test. Also any unexcused absence results in mandatory passing of the semestral test
