The Objective

The objective of this course is to prepare you to succeed in the JA001 exam. The information about the exam is available here

Materials

All materials will be in the IS, in the Interactive Outline.

Lessons

Lessons will take place on Zoom. The online lesson will consist of speaking activities in groups (approximately 60 minutes). After the Zoom lesson, you will work on your own, completing online exercises in the Outline. If you for whichever reason cannot participate in the Zoom lesson, you will do all the exercises and the materials in the IS and check them yourself.

Credit Requirements

1 Presentation on a controversial topic related to physics (self-driving cars, renewable sources of energy, nuclear weapons ...). You will prepare the presentation in pairs: one student focusing on pros - benefits of your topic, the other on cons - negative sides of the topic. The whole presentation should last about 10 minutes, each student should speak about 5 minutes. The presentations will be delivered at the end of the semester.

Deadline: 2 May

3 Credit test at the end of the semester, followed by a short self-evaluative questionnaire (Example: The final test has shown that I can make questions in English, etc). There is no pass/fail boundary: you have to take the test and answer the short questionnaire.
