Facing C-19 Pandemic: Israel as a Case Study


Course aims

The online course Facing C-19 Pandemic: Israel as a Case Study aims to provide the students perspectives  on how the State of Israel has dealt with the C-19 pandemic. In eight lectures that will be followed by Q & A session the students should gain a fullest picture on strategies Israel has adopted, and tolls it applied, to reduce the threat and negative impact of the pandemic on the society. 

Requirements for successful completion of the course

  • Regular attendance (one absence permitted)
  • Cameras on, active participation in discussions 
  • Reading assigned texts
  • Submission of - by the end of January 2022 - a two-page essay on a topic related to the themes of the course lectures.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to:

  • Have a better understanding of Israeli approach towards facing C-19 pandemic
  • Understand which actors played the most important roles in that effort
  • Better understand how C-19 pandemic affected the Israeli society and different groups in Israel
