Evaluation

Total number of points you can get: 100

  • 25 points – homeworks (10 × 2.5 points)
  • 30 points – project
  • 45 points – written exam

You will need:

  • 90 points for A
  • 80 points for B
  • 70 points for C
  • 60 points for D
  • 50 points for E
  • 40 points for credit (zápočet)

New: -5 points or a disciplinary comission in the case of plagiarism!

(This may change during the semester.)

Homeworks

There will be 10 homeworks during the semester. Assignments will be made public on this page after a lecture on Wednesday. On the seminars, the assignments will be further explained by the teachers so you can ask about them there, or use the course's discussion forum.

Deadline of submitting the homework is 23:59, the second Sunday after publishing the homework (12 days after the lecture). If you submit in time and the homework is alright, you get 2.5 points. If there is some mistake, the teacher will tell you and describe the mistake. Then you may submit it again and if it is correct, you get 1 point. Further submittings are for 0 points.

Submitting of homeworks is not compulsory, but you need to get at least 10 points from the homeworks to be allowed to choose a project. This basically means you don't need to submit all the homeworks, if you have enough points. The points from the homeworks are, however, part of your final exam.

New: When correcting the homework, submitt the correction in the same directory as the original homework and under the line
"
If there is a file of the same name in the folder:" choose "rename the new one".  Write into the description that it is a correction.
