Key EDI competences targeted in the Project Management and Writing course:

1. Intercultural competences and culturally sensitive communication (indirectly):

The course focuses on group work and potentially also communication with people outside of the class (depending on the selected project), requiring a culturally sensitive behaviour to successfully fulfil the tasks.

2. Reflection, assessment, and feedback (directly):

The theories and knowledge will be tested, and the skills of the project management will gradually improve throughout the semester, requiring students to communicate, cooperate and self-reflect on each of the stages. Various groups will offer alternative solutions, helping the group see the variety and adaptability of theories.

3. and 4. Theoretical and Practical Knowledge of Education & Skills and strategies for inclusion and diversity in the 21st century (directly and/or indirectly):

The nature of the course will try to demonstrate an inclusive educational practice. Some of the selected topics may reflect the topic directly in their research.

5. Research competence (directly):

By design, this competence is key to the course. It focuses on helping students discover the main principles of effective and manageable project management applicable to any research and/or collaborative project. Critical thinking will be practised in all stages of the project development, teaching the students to assess and work with the strengths and weaknesses related to the relevant issues. 

Within the program, the course "Introduction to Project Management" serves as a tool to help you manage all the small projects that you need to participate in during your studies, but especially from a long-term perspective, to help you manage the tasks in the 4th semester (internship abroad, or international collaboration)
