This lesson aims to present the basics of thoracis surgery, to connect your already acquired knowledge in anatomy, pathology and pathophysiology and to apply it in clinical practice. You will be lectured on routinely used diagnostic methods, basic surgical procedures on lungs, esophagus, mediastinum and chest wall. The knowledge gained in this lesson needs to be contextualized with oncology, pneumology and gastroenterology lectures.

The lesson takes 180 minutes.
