Course description:

This is a course for students who 1) have finished Chinese for Pre-Intermediate Learners 2 in our center, or 2) have reached HSK 2, or 3) have basic conversation skills (verb+le, huì+verb and basic idea of modal verbs and suffixes in Chinese). The course is taught in Chinese and English.

Course Objectives

After the course, students will be able to:

• identify and comprehend conversation situations and reproduce conversation schemes in basic conversation situations given by the textbook,
• apply the conversation schemes and acquired vocabulary to other interactive conversation situations,
• know the structure of Chinese characters and identify some basic characters,
• apply acquired grammar, vocabulary and increase necessary reading and writing comprehension.
