The programme aims to prepare professionals who, based on their primary expertise, are able to reflect on the ethical, legal, and social aspects of biomedicine and biotechnology.

After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

  • Have a good understanding of bioethics.
  • Identify the premises and background of bioethical issues.
  • Analyse bioethical issues.
  • Take interdisciplinary perspectives into account.
  • Provide justified opinions on bioethical issues.

Graduates can work at universities, research institutions, and in government administration. They can also offer consulting services.
