Practical training for physiotherapy students is compulsory and takes place in specialized departments in Brno hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The training is supervised by highly specialized and experienced lecturers and supervisors, who make sure that all hygienic, safety, work, operation, and fire regulations are complied with. Students are instructed about these regulations before the training starts. The practical training has two parts: summer block practical training in the 2nd semester (2 weeks) and ongoing practical training within the Kinesiotherapy course in all areas of medical rehabilitation over the whole course of the studies (2 years).

Before taking the final state examinations, students need to fulfil all the study requirements and complete the last year of their studies.

As a part of the final state examination in the Master’s study programme, students defend their Master’s theses, which they write based on the current scientific knowledge within the fields of medicine and physiotherapy. Before defending their theses, students need to submit them and make them publicly available in accordance with article 38 of Masaryk University regulations and the provisions of section 47b of Act no. 111/1998 Coll.
