The course focuses on providing a deeper understanding of the public procurement process, with an emphasis on construction activities. The goal is to equip participants with practical skills in public procurement, focusing on efficiency, economy, and effectiveness within construction projects.

The course is intended for managers in public organizations, economists, internal auditors, controllers, and other professionals involved in public procurement, particularly in the construction sector.

After completion of the course, students should be able to: 
- navigate the public procurement process – understand the basic principles and steps from the preparation of a contract to its implementation, with a focus on construction activities and the specifics of public construction contracts;
- apply the requirements of the Financial Control Act – be able to integrate legal requirements into practice during the implementation of public construction contracts;

- use tools for evaluating bids ;
- understand current trends in public construction procurement;
- understand technical and qualification requirements – be familiar with the qualification criteria for contractors and contractual standards (e.g., FIDIC) in construction.

The course is divided into several blocks, each covering a key aspect of public construction procurement. The instruction will combine theoretical lectures with practical examples and discussions. Participants will also have the opportunity to work on case studies, enabling them to acquire practical skills and apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations.
