LLL plan description

  • Presentation of the LLL plan (learning objectives)
    The course will focus on significant transformations in the history of ancient philosophy (the beginnings of philosophy, the ‘anthropological’ turn – sophists and Socrates, Plato – philosophy as conceptual delineation, Aristotle – system and method, historical-political changes and Hellenistic philosophy, Greek philosophy and Christianity). These milestones will be described in detail, and their historical and philosophical significance, which in some cases persists to this day, will also be indicated.
  • Target group
    The target audience for this course includes educators and professionals in cultural and memory institutions.
  • Learning Outcomes
    The graduate will be able to: identify key milestones and transformations in the development of ancient philosophy; explain their significance in the context of the evolution of thought; clarify their historical and social context; and convey basic information about them to students in civic education (and possibly history and other humanities subjects) at secondary schools.
  • Occupational Profiles of Graduates
    Graduates of the course will be able to convey basic information to students in subjects such as civic education, history, and other humanities at secondary schools.
  • Admission conditions

    1. Application Submission

    Admission to the course depends on the timely submission of the application within the established capacity

    2. Payment of Fees

    After the application collection period ends (January 19, 2025), applicants will be contacted in the order of their submission and will receive instructions for payment for the course. If the fee is not paid by the specified deadline, the spot will be offered to the next applicant in line

    3.Conditional Enrollment in the Course

    Upon payment of the fee, conditional enrollment in the course will occur. All administrative procedures can be completed online.

    The course will be conducted with a minimum of 2 accepted applicants and a maximum of 8 applicants.

  • Course of education
    For a duration of 8 weeks, hybrid teaching will take place, which includes online lessons and two in-person meetings of 4 hours each.


    The course is in the Czech language.

  • Conditions of graduation
    Successful completion of the course is contingent upon attendance, active participation in in-person meetings, and the completion of assigned tasks in the e-learning platform.
