Abstract
The main goal of the course is to familiarize students with the latest developments in experimental embryology and the subsequent innovations in reproductive medicine.
Learning outcomes
Graduates of the course will be able to: Understand and critically evaluate professional texts Present the content of the latest experimental and clinical studies in both oral and written form Apply the knowledge gained during their studies in the context of new findings Interpret the latest scientific findings and assess their significance for clinical practice
Key topics
• - types of scientific publications, aspects of the publication and review process • - publication of the offer of topics (historical landmark and currently published professional works) to students and assignment to individual topics • - presentation of individual topics, opponent evaluation and group discussion • evaluation of conference abstracts
Study resources and literature
  • The literature consists of teacher-selected experimental and review articles and clinical studies, including meta-analyses, case reports, and professional guidelines, published in peer-reviewed journals in reproductive biology and reproductive medicine.
Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Lectures and analysis seminars with active presentations, peer evaluations, and group moderated discussions on the given topic. The subject of the analysis will be groundbreaking and recently published scholarly papers.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
The conditions for passing the course are 1) 80% class participation, 2) active presentation of an assigned topic, and 3) engaging in discussion in a role of a peer reviewer.
