Course objectives
The course acquaints students with the basics of Auxiliary Historical Sciences (paleography, historical metrology, historical chronology), with historical written sources mainly from the 16th until the 19th century. The course introduces students to the basics of source research and archives and organizations responsible for collecting the records. Students will be able to work with written sources of the 16th to 19 century, they will understand the problems of historical chronology and metrology, acquire basic skills in genealogical studies.
