Course objectives
The main purpose of the course is to demonstrate various systems of script, their development, representing so a continuation of the course LANGUAGES OF ALL OVER THE WORLD. All important scripts are analyzed from the point of view of teir internal structure and the external links, including the scripts so far undeciffered.

  • A survey of scripts according to their primary origin: 1. Mesopotamia 2. Egypt 3. Levanta 4. Eastern Mediterraneum 5. Asie Minor 6. Northern Mediterraneum 7. India 8. China 9. America 10. Pacific region
